Good
Our family has been many times. We love the homey feel and the fact that its right on the beach. The staff is very patient with kids, the restaurant is well run and tasty. We really hate the fact that they allow smoking in the lobby, and in fact,...

Mediocre
I've stayed here probably about ten times for over five years. Last weekend was probably the worst I've ever been treated at a hotel ever! I'd like to add that I travel all over the country for work ( approx. 50 nights/yr.) and while the ...

Excellent
The Clamdigger has become our place to go to get away. We've been going there for some 10 years now and have been disappointed only once. That was the year the hurricane hit and blew sand through all the rooms. They had most of their work done,...
Several years ago when the hotel was still under the Ramada franchise, the place was very well run and quite well kept. We stayed there every Sept for quite a few years.
After they lost or gave up the franchise, the place went down hill...

Not sure why there were any negative posts on this...

Take your business elsewhere. Other than the big bed, this place was a dud. The accusations they made about a missing remote control (useless) and other useless items was the kicker, they provided more headaches than pleasure. I'd advise every other oceanfront hotel before this one, no matter how run down it is. 2 Huge Thumbs Down, don't go. They're vultures and try to squeeze every penny out of you.
The inn is not for non-smokers. All rooms are for smoking customers and the ventilation system pulls cigarette smoke throughout the building making a non-smoker unable to breathe even in their own room. I had to open the sliding glass door on the...
Hubby and I stayed there last spring ... we were only able to squeeze one night away from the bustle of life but oh what a night! We were on the top floor, the sound of the ocean was all we could hear, and the view was spectacular! Everyone there...
