I purchased a night stay at a funraiser for United Way. They refused to book a room for me in June. So when I call back to book one for September I was told I would have to go through a manager, so I left a message. I did not get a call back after 2 ...

As a family traveler, I would HIGHLY suggest that you stay away from this hotel! Our bad experience started the second we opened our car doors in frount of the hotel.
When we arrived, there were two motorcycles literally parked on the sidewalk partially blocking the entrance door. The rider apparently had some hearing difficulties as he had his radio so loud that we could hear in inside of our car and throughout the entire lobby.
As we walked to the check-in counter, there was some sort of a dis-agreement between the counter personnel and we were rudely turned away as our room was not clean yet. I admit, I was attempting to check-in half an hour early. We left and returned several hours later.
The second time we were treated a bit better, and were allowed into our room a mere 5 minutes after the advertised check-in time. No biggie.. When we arrived in our room, it had the odor of a smoking room that someone was trying to cover up as a non-smoking room.. After looking around, we found that it was the bed linens and the towels that had the odor of a smoking room.. Not much we could do as I'm sure they are all washed together...
As for room, I guess there is not much that can be said.. It was a typical hotel room, not clean by any standards, but it wasn't filthy. We did however find a couple of used/dirty paper plates in the desk drawer and a rather ominous looking utility knife blade in the drawer as well..
The bathroom was okay, again not clean but not filthy.
The bed was horrible, when we pulled the sheets back, there were hairs on the sheets and an opened saftey pin down near the feet. We slept on top of the covers..
When we finally did get to sleep, our room phone rang at 4:45am and woke us up. I called the front desk, and asked why we received a wake-up call, the clerk told us that it wasn't a wake-up call, someone in the hotel must have called our room by mistake...
The Hot Tub was closed, and the pool water was disgusting. You couldn't see through the water, it looked as if it had some serious chemical problems.
I will never stay in this hotel again, nor will I recommend it to anyone.. It is a an overpriced DUMP!
location excellent, the convention center right there we didn't have to go out side to my cousin wedding on 4-2008.same as it was when we had our family reunion ther in 8-1998. Holiday Inn then Still clean and...

I liked the downtown location and the nice view from the upper room. I was alone but I felt safe inside and in the immediate outside area. The facility was very clean and very quiet.
The staff was polite and experienced making check in and check out smooth. We were helpful with any questions and giving directions.
I am very likely
to return to the Ramada Hotel & Convention Center.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Excellent
The staff at the hotel and convention center where awesome. They helped us with everything that we had asked. Front desk had our sleeping rooms ready and clean. Meeting rooms at the convention center were better then we could ask for.
This hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The wireless connection is great. It is connected to the convention center which is wonderful. It is not Trump Plaza, but it is a good hotel for business travelers.

My fiancee and I stayed there twice, and enjoyed out stay both times. The bar/restaurant is great, with very reasonable prices. The hotel and bar staff were all very friendly and accomodating. We will be staying here anytime we come through...
