AVOID THIS HOTEL – Posted Aug 04, 2008

Horrible
58 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

The hallways were being renovated but why couldn't they vacuum the dust that was everywhere? The toilet worked every fifth flush. The ledge about the shower was filthy with grime and mold. My kids were harassed by roving bands of other guests kids. The roll away bed was unable to support 40 lbs of weight and cost $10. The fire escape door next to us had a broken lock. I was charged a dime for one piece of printer paper and the toner was so low i couldn't read the map i printed. The continental breakfast room was filthy, spills galore, the coffee was putrid, the cereal stale and no OJ. Depressing, dreary, dirty, dingy and degrading.

Okay
51 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

I arrived in the hotel restaurant before my husband. I sat for approximately twenty minutes and no one asked if I wanted something to drink. My husband arrived and we sat for another twenty minutes before I called over a waitress and gave her our drink order. Other people arrived at our table and we also had a problem with getting their orders taken. The place was not very busy. Forty five minutes after giving her the drink order she arrived with everyone's drinks except mine. I do not drink and I therefore requested a non alcoholic beverage. After forty five minutes she informed me they did not have any non alcoholic beverages. I ended up drinking Coke. I feel this is very poor service and I subsequently informed the manager.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Ramada Downriver Taylor-Detroit.
I might recommend it to friends.

Mediocre
35 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

It was nasty. Our toilet overflowed and we called the front desk two times and nobody came so I went to the breakfast room and finally got it repaired.

I am not likely to return to the Ramada Downriver Taylor-Detroit.
I would not recommend it to friends.

First of all, the front desk personnel were friendly and knew exactly what they were doing. I believed everyone smiled whenever they passed by. I had my dog with me and everyone wanted to pet him, which he enjoyed. It was overall a very pleasant, comfortable and nice stay.

this place was awful. I've never seen – Posted Jun 07, 2006

Horrible

this place was awful. I've never seen such an old looking Ramada. The beds were lopsided and there was a roach in the bathroom. My first room, the A/C was broken.
