I stayed for 2 days and 3 nights for a Board exam I was taking in Dallas. The room was fairly nice for the price. The king size bed was comfortable and the restroom was well maintained. The wireless internet and cable selection was a bonus. The room I got was on the 3rd floor facing the side parking lot of the hotel, so I got a quiet's night sleep. The continental breakfast was not bad; there were more sweet selections than salty selections. The only thing that was salty was the boiled egg.
I had 5 problems with the hotel stay. 1) The wall unit A/C didn't have enough power. It had very basic controls. It didn't come on often enough to keep the room cool. Thus, it was kind of humid in the room. The on duty manager sent someone up right away to inspect it but the technician couldn't do anything. The unit just needed to be updated. 2) The flushing power of the toilet was non-existent no matter what kind of business you take care of in it! 3) The carpet looks clean at first site but if you go barefooted, you'll notice the gummy feel and the black stain under your feet. 4) Beware of the ironing board. It is a cheap one and if you put a medium amount of pressure on it while ironing, it will buckle! Watch your toes! 5) The room doesn't have a mini fridge, so don't plan on getting any doggie bags.
Even though I had 5 problem with my stay, the only major one was the A/C. The rest were bareable. For the price I got through Kayak for my stay, I thought it was a pretty good deal for my experience. I wouldn't choose this hotel again because for the price I paid, I could have gotten a room with an extra living room area, kitchen, central air, a mini fridge, and a microwave at a hotel about 5 minutes away from this one.
