Outside door into room "hall" would not lock electronically. I had to contact the front office (person on duty pretty non-responsive and unprofessional) and get them to finally lock the door manually for the night. Maintenance looks like...
58 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
This has to be one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at. If we complain, the management treats us like idiots and argues. The light plugs (2) didn't work...they argued. They finally fixed it. The phone didn't work right....and we didn't get our messages. We still cannot get them. The room had no phone book....no informational papers....nothing. Not even the usual fire safety map and instructions! When I asked about where this stuff was, I was told it was on our little check in card paper...which lists check in time, check out time and time of breakfast. Period. The hotel advertises a daily newspaper as part of your room. When we had been here 4 days and still no paper, I asked where my paper was. I was told they only get 10 a day, and 'they go fast'. A lie then. We went for days with the same soaps and shampoos, etc that we got on check in. This has been a disaster. They have a little section in the lobby where you can buy mouthwash, toothbrush etc but they have it marked outrageously high....much cheaper to just run to the store. Most nice hotels don't even charge you for this stuff! I had to take a shower cap off a maids cart to get one. they do have one computer to use in the lobby..but no paper in the printer. It just goes on and on. Apparently this is newer management here...at one time this was a nice hotel. These people are the cheapest people I've ever seen. I am telling everyone not to stay here. I am going to report this place to the Ramada Headquarters. This hotel is an embarrassment to the good Ramada name.
Room was filthy, and had a foul smell. Bed,sheets, and pillows had stains all over. It was like a college fraternity surrounded my bed prior to my arrival and had a "Circle jerk". Had to sleep in my truck.
Homeless shelter would be nicer

Stayed two nights, worst hotel I ever been to. Manager "Habib Patel" was rude and unhelpful, spoke broken english. Called twice for and extra pillow at 5pm after waiting for over an hour I went to the front desk to see what the problem was. He said...
48 year old female with an economy budget, traveling for leisure
I used to work in the hotel business and I am careful to book with places and chains that are pretty consistent in quality and service, but still a good value.
I am very likely
to return to the Ramada Asheville.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
We picked this hotel as part of a package deal and since we had never been to Asheville before, we did not want to spend a lot of money on a hotel. The hotel was adequate. The room was clean, the bedding was cheap, the air conditioner was loud,...
