The hotel set on about 2 1/2 acre of land adjacent to Rainbow Casino. At our back door is the mighty MISSISSIPPI River. The hotel has been newly renovated in the past year. This lovely hotel is a comfort away from home.

This is BY FAR the worst place ever!!! Rainbow Suites/ Athens portrays themselves to be a quaint little European style motel in the heart of Houston, but the truth about this establishment is that it is dirty and VERY smelly and there are children...

anniversary so we sprang for high dollar "suite". coffee pot broke. ppv not accessible. alarm clock "buzzed" off & on till unplugged. bulbs burned out. room next to stairs - VERY noisey all night long (no elevator) kids or 500 pound elephants...

Hotel, restaurant, casino are accessed inside. Great indoor pool and hot tub. Lots of slots and table game. Free continental breakfast. Some rooms have jacuzzis.
45 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I had heard some really great things about this hotel from other travelers in our office, but had never tried it, so thought I would. They were absolutely right. It was great! The staff was very helpful, the rooms were spotless. I was told they recently renovated, and everything does look really great. I was able to work on my laptop easily here, which is key for me. Hi Speed Internet was free. I even had a microwave and refrigerator in my room - a nice perk. It was a treat to be able to swim in such an attractive indoor pool. And, since it was raining, it was great to be able to walk next door to the casino without going outside! I will definitely stay here whenever I am in Vicksburg.
