37 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I stayed at the Radisson last April for Easter and I must say that I was pretty satisfied with my stay there. The only thing that I Didn't care to much for was the 1920's music "UP GRADE PLEASE". No matter where you went in the hotel you heard this 1920's music which became very annoying, especially when we went to the lounge. If anyone knows 20's music you'd know that most of that music was sad & depressing which coincidently was during the DEPRESSION. The service was good the room was clean and comfortable but the employees that had been there for some time shared a lot of ghost stories with us about several men who lost a fortune in the stock market during the depression committed suicide by jumping out of the windows up on the top floors. Pretty frightening! Overall It was pretty nice.

The only good thing is location and that is just decent if you plan to walk 5 or more blocks to the inner harbor. Parking is ridiculous when checking in a 5:00 on Saturday it took 30 minutes on line for the valet to turn me away for parking. Wanted to send me several blocks away to self park. All said and done $29 later my vehicle was parked. Beds are awful. If you like cheap air mattresses then their bed will work for you. FYI, a Sleep Number is a junk air mattress and should never be in a hotel. Don't know what they were thinking with that choice. Anyone that likes a Sleep Number seriously must have a old worn out cheap bed at home. Room was old and not very clean. Extreme noise for hours outside my room when people returned late night, slamming doors and people yelling. Not recommended in my plan again.

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Baltimore in a magnificent Art Deco style building. The room was spacious, and comfortable, nicely appointed, and I found the air conditioning very effective. We were located on the 14th floor in a room facing Baltimore's clock tower, and we decided to keep the curtains open to enjoy its soft glow when we retired for the evening. Our major problem with our room was its bed. The hotel featured the Select Comfort Sleep Number Bed and ours had 2 of them. The problem was both of them were defective. My side deflated over the evening, and my wife's side didn't inflate at all. The other bed was set at "0" and refused to function at all. I pointed this fact out the hotel manager, and he nicely comped my overnight parking. One other thing I really appreciated was although we arrived at 9:30 AM on Saturday morning, the check-in person granted us admittance to our room. This allowed us to unload our luggage from our car (which was valet parked) and stow it in a locked room so we could get right down to the harbor events. It's a long 3 block walk to the Inner Harbor, so wear appropriate footwear. Not knowing the town, we were a little concerned about walking back to the hotel at 10PM, but there were many other tourists walking around and we felt very comfortable. What struck me about this part of Baltimore was how clean the streets were; free of litter, and general dirt. We enjoyed the weekend, and would stay there again. Just give me normal bed!

It is a wonderful hotel, with a great staff, beautiful rooms and great food. It is top of the line for us but not priced out of our reach. It has a great location, right near the harbor. The very friendly staff is very efficient and helpful. I will stay there again.

This hotel made me feel content: From the moment we arrived the staff helped to make our stay one that we would not have to worry about anything. The gentleman in charge of parking put us at ease with his efficiency and professionalism. The check in was flawless and quick. We were made to feel that we were the most important people in the lobby.

I am very likely to return to the Radisson Plaza Hotel Lord Baltimore.
