Radisson Hotel and Suites Spartanburg Hotel - Page 1

The hotel leaves much to be desired with it's beaten up lobby furniture, filthy carpets, stained walls and linens, dirty tubs, and inhospitable staff. Please keep in mind that there is also no continental breakfast, but instead a $9 per person buffet. The "heated" pool is not heated to a noticeable temperature difference from any other non-heated indoor pool and we actually had a plastic bag tied to the light fixture in the bathroom that was holding up the shower rod. The tub was covered in someone's hair and this was the second room they put us in after first trying to give us one that was already in use and on the smoking floor which we specifically did not want. They could not give us any other room due to a wedding party and low-rider convention booking (which were all over the parking lot)! Be weary of this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing and uneventful stay.

I booked reservations two months in advance. When I arrived they'd given my room away to a large last minute party that had arrived. They found a larger room to give me but kept trying to charge me more for it. Even though they found me in their computer system with no problem they continued to overcharge me on the room until I could produce a confirmation number I'd been given at the time of making the reservation. The large party they allowed to take over several already confirmed rooms, others at check in was experiencing the same issue and was outraged, had loud parties with loud music going all three nights which could be heard in the room. The room we were given had an air conditioner that didn't work. We had to wait until the next day for maintenance to fix it. It was a very disappointing trip as I'd stayed at this hotel twice before and was very happy in previous years. I learned the hotel had recently sold. I hope the new owner plans to update the overall facility as it's becoming very worn.

I liked the breakfast in the morning, but I did not like the fact that we were there during a Narcotics Anonymous weekend.

This Radisson was well located to access events for the kids and had many things to do for the adults also. I would recommend it highly.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The Radisson made me feel comfortable when anything was asked and or requested I received immediate attention. That's very important with my family.
