53 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for business
The Queen Ann Motel in Oak Harbor is an old, "not very clean" motel. The office is only open for limited hours. The pool was closed, but given the cleanliness of the rooms would not have swam there anyway.
We didn't try the restaurant, after we saw the room we had no appetite. It serves a regular set of clients, one showed up twice one evening with a different "friend" each time. The topper was there was no hot water in the morning. The proprietor's response was "we can't find a plumber". When asked for a refund due to the hot water, she slammed the door in our face. If it's the only room left in Oak Harbor, drive away, take a cab, ride the bus, or walk to another town.
