What did I hate? The 7:30am fire alarm requiring evacuation of the whole hotel(the steam from the showers will set off the alarms); that the front desk could not re -activate my room key following the evacuation; that they never got me another room key despite their promise to do so; that they would only discount my room 10% because of this; the new paint on the 5th floor hallway (stunk); the lightbulbs that didnt work in the room; the poor repair and condition of the room; and the rudeness of the front desk. A number of other patrons complained of people fighting in various rooms--scary. When we checked in, folks were downstairs asking to be moved because of this and the next day, another couple complained of the same thing.

What did I like? The TV worked.

I have been forced to stay in the area every week off and on over the past year. The staff at the Quality Inn is so amazing that its almost like being surrounded by friends so far from home.

The location was excellent because it was within the University of Pittsburgh and Oakland neighborhood area. One problem was that when I reserved my room over the phone, I was told that I could pay by check when my stay was over. When I arrived I was told that I would need to pay before checking in, and also pay a fifty dollars refundable deposit in addition to my fee. Another problem was that the description said that all the rooms would have a balcony. Mine did have a balcony, but the door was bolted shut and I could not use it. But overall I was satisfied with the hotel for the price I paid. It was very clean and neat and I enjoyed my stay.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The room was very cozy and clean. The furniture was comfortable and attractive.

The shuttle service was great, especially the driver! It comes in handy when a loved one is in the hospital.

The convenience of the shuttle made my trip a pleasure.
