While the room I was in really needed new carpet, the room was very clean. The hotel is in the process of renovating the rooms. I asked for a first floor room so I would not have to carry luggage up the stairs. One with the price of my reserved...

I have stayed at this particular Quality Inn twice now and have had excellent service both times. I was at wits end the first time I stayed trying to find a hotel at the last minute and also one that wasn't outragesly priced. I finally walked...

The beautiful courtyard is run in sibilance of a prison courtyard.
While /enjoying/ my stay I was chaperone to a group of children age range 13 to 15.
A couple of the children had been goofing about, they were not loud and rambunctious, they were merely rubbing away at the wounds the previous school year had left on them.
My children and I, along with a few other loitering "guests", were ushered back into our respective rooms by the manager in charge at around 11pm.
She harassed my children and admonished them for disturbing her peace; a simple "please" would have sufficed.
I told my pupils to tone it down a notch. A few of them returned to their rooms for the night while a few stayed outside with me. We chatted at a respectable volume as we overlooked the pool and I enjoyed a cigarette, the first thing I actually enjoyed this particular late evening. The long row of rooms behind us were our own, so even if we had been conversing at an unusual level it would not have bothered anyone.
The manager returned, blazing, and in a manner seemingly fueled by the lust of power, she informed us that we could head back to our rooms "... or check out, that includes you, sir."
I was dumbfounded. What had invoked such a demand? I escorted my children back inside, defeated at half-past 11pm. I would have chosen to check out if we did not need somewhere to stay for the remainder of our trip.
A zero tolerance policy when we were never informed of any rules for staying is a bit dramatic.
I am still not aware of which rules, if any, we offended.
The hotel is convenient for the area, the services provided by the hotel are complementary to anyone's stay, but the owner needs to review his upper staff about customer relations.
