47 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The outside and inside are like night and day. From the outside, it looks terrible, with a lot of rough looking people hanging around the parking lot and smoking in the corners. I thought "what have I gotten myself into?" The inside came as a total shock. It was recently completely refurbished and even had a wet bar.
The good: Fairly comfortable bed. Completely remodeled inside with a refrigerator, microwave, wet bar, and the newer A/C unit even had a thermostat. Free WiFi.
The bad: Really dated and run-down looking on the outside. Rough looking characters hanging out in and around the hotel. Fairly small bathroom. Not convenient to get into or out of the motel parking lot. Lumpy things under the carpet (it appeared new carpet was laid over whatever was already on the floor).
Overall, since you spend the majority of your time INSIDE your room, this wasn't as bad as the outside made it look.
