54 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We had a block of rooms booked for a wedding. We were told renovations would be done by July 1 and the wedding was Aug. 2. The hotel was in huge dissaray. We were told the rooms we had reserved we not available. Some of us had king rooms and we had a handicapped room for our mother that was not available. We were given rooms and had to keep going to the lobby to change rooms. One of the rooms had broken glass and plaster all over the floor. The bride and groom checked in after the wedding and they did not have sheets on the bed and there was trash all over. We had a wasp nest behind the curtains in our room with live wasps buzzing around. We had 8 rooms reserved and everyone had to try a couple of rooms before getting a room that they could actually stay in. We wanted to go to a different hotel but were told we needed to cancel 24 hours in advance even though they could not provide the rooms that were reserved. The only thing that made us smile was Phyllis the waffle lady.
