Quality Inn Sarasota Hotel - Page 1

This motel was OK, but not as nice as other Quality Inns I've been in. The outdoor heated pool was fine, but the spa was very under heated. It had wifi, micro/frig, and breakfast of cereal, bagels, and make-your-own waffles with coffee and juice. The location is great, very close to the Ringling Estate and Asolo Theater.

This is an old hotel that had been painted outside and inside and not much else. The rooms smelled very musty. The carpet under our sink had about a 4 foot area that was very wet, might be part of the musty smell. Paint was peeling off the walls. These rooms were very overpriced, higher then some other hotels in the area that were much nicer.

I travel 60-70 days a year and have to say that this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The smell was terrible, their service was hostile, and no one seemed willing to help. I expected more from a Choice hotel.

It was close to where I was going, within walking distance. It is inexpensive. The rooms are an older style and just average.

Front desk staff was nasty because my credit card did not work. They told everyone in line. They told housekeeping to lock my room, I didn't have money. They later found out it was the machine and not my card. No apology, just a bunch of embarrassment.
