Quality Inn Philadelphia Airport Hotel - Page 1

I was rather concerned regarding the security and cleanliness at this hotel. My parents and two small children were placed in the rear back corner of the hotel near the woods where it was very dark. The room was not very clean - there was hair in our bathtub and around the bottom of the toilet.

My major concerns were regarding the rudeness of the staff and the hotel's advertised 24-hour shuttle service that supposedly runs every 1/2 hour. During check-in, the manager and employee at the desk were very aloof and didn't really address any of our questions or concerns. We were told beforehand that the shuttles ran every 1/2 hour in the morning, and were then told that it was only every hour (this makes a big difference for a 7:30 am flight).

At check-out, we verified the timing for our pick-up shuttle at the airport, and they told us that they run a 24-hour shuttle service to the airport. When we landed at midnight, I contacted the front desk as instructed. The manager was very rude and told me that there was no driver available and they went home for the night. I asked them if there was anything they could do for us, and he very rudely told us to catch a cab. When I asked if he could reimburse us, he said "absolutely not." We wound up paying $72 for an airport shuttle service to take us back to our hotel. I have two small children and this was completely unacceptable.

The initial sign-in was fine, there was a nice helpful fellow at the desk.

The room wasn't dirty, but it didn't seem clean either. It was not up to standard. The air conditioner grill was broken and it rattled all night. Then the breakfast room was not clean.

We left car in their lot, at $9 per night. But it was the awful shuttle service coming back that was totally unacceptable. We were the first from our plane to get to the shuttle area and called immediately and were told the van would be there in five minutes. Well on a cold April night. All of the other passengers had been picked up and half the next incoming flight also, before our Quality Inn shuttle finally arrived. Over 40 minutes after the first call.

We cannot recommend this Quality Inn. It is not up to standards that we believe are minimum.

The passenger pick-up from airport is good. The place is very bad, there’s a bad smell. I was uncomfortable and didn't sleep well. They charged more than what they mentioned in the website. The advantage is that it is near to the airport, nothing else.

I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the motel. The towels were absolutely disgusting. I did not care for the location, and I was not impressed by the security of the locks on the door for the location that the motel is in.

The restaurant and desk staff was excellent. The front desk did not have the reservation information when I arrived. Neither the Expedia web site, nor the site for Quality had stated that the hotel was undergoing renovation which caused me some difficulty health wise as the elevator was out of service and I should not have climbed the stairs.
