The recliner chair was quite dingy and stained looking, like it really needed to be replaced. In fact, much about this place was past its prime. The bathroom had been nicely updated, but the rest of the room and furniture was rather old and worn out, though my photos don't really show this very well. There was garbage (including an old, open potato chip bag, which may or may not have still had chips in it - I didn't check too closely) behind the dresser. Sounds picky, but the dresser was right in front of the door, and far enough from wall for this trash to be very visible. Didn't say much that nobody had bothered to fish it out.
Other minor flaws: There was no information in the information floder, and the front desk didn't have extras. The free breakfast was OK, but again, the room where it was served just looked sad.
If money is a big consideration, I would say that this place is acceptable if you get a really good price (and only for a fairly short stay). But if you can afford something better, I think there would be better choices.
45 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I have stayed here about four times, primarily because I get a discount through my employer.
I think it is an ok hotel, but if I had to pay the full rack rate I wouldn't stay here. If you can get their standard room for about 50 or 60 dollars it's a good deal.

The room door would ...

Okay
Our first impressions upon driving-in were rather frightening to my wife and mother-in-law. There were an unusual qunatity of what appeared to be transitory workers (construction, hired hands, etc.)who were hanging over the second floor balcony...

Good
I have stayed in this hotel twice before, and we are going back once again. It has nice comfortable rooms, very clean, the bathrooms, while not lavish, are clean and good sized. The location is excellent, really close to the Kentucky Horse Park, and ...

Mediocre
The hotel was accessible to where I was going. But I was told that it was in a "not so good" part of the city. So, if you're traveling alone, this is not a good place to stay. Breakfast had good choices. The room clean but the bathroom is not...
