Located less than 2 miles from the Disney World main gate, you can buy tickets to the park in the lobby, so as to avoid the long ticket lines. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel is within walking distance to a variety of restaurants and several shops. On site, there is a heated lakeside pool, gift shop and arcade. The hotel also serves continental breakfast, offers free local calls, weekday newspapers and coffee in the lobby. The staff here go out of their way to help, no matter what time. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to the main parks. There is a $1.96 Resort Fee per day to be paid by the guest.

Horrible
Had recently stayed at this hotel. Free breakfast in the morning is ok, nothing to brag about if you are starving. Hotel Staff needs customer empowerment, which they are lacking. Rooms are ok but they are not cleaned good as we found few condoms...
All Review Photos Unless you stay at

Okay
All Review Photos Unless you stay at one of the Disney-specific hotels, any hotel you get near the Magic Kingdom will be about the same. I'd rank most of those hotels as cheap, but average, and the Quality Inn Maingate West is no exception. Don't ...
I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I booked on line with a resort company to stay at the sheraton and tour their resort. The company told me that they over booked the Sheraton Hotel and they will accomodate me with some thing equal or nicer to the Sheraton Hotel. When I arrived at the hotel I was afraid to enter the Lobby. The Quality Inn Maingate looks like it belong in a Stephen King horror movie. The Lobby chairs are dirty and they smells. When I checked in the Front desk clerk told me I have to pay for resort tax. She run my bank card and claimed it was decline. The tax was only $5.96 so I pay her cash. I went up to the room it was dirty and smells like mold. The carpet was so dirty and old. The air condition was very noisy. I went to the front desk to ask for a different room because I suffer with sinus and allergy problems, the front desk clerk informs me that they were sold out or rooms. I slept in my vehicle until around 4:00 am went back in the room and to take a shower because I had a 90 minute tour at 7:00 am. There was nothing to place on the floor in the bathroom. The shower head has so much build up around it. In the morning my bank called to tell me that the hotel ran my card 6 times so they had to blocked my card. My kids and other individual were standing in the breakfast line before 9:30 waiting on the others to get done using the toaster and waffle maker. One of the worker proceeded to remove all of the breakfast item even though they were people still standing and hasn't gotten their breakfast. I asked the worker why is she removing the items and people are still waiting to get their breakfast, she said it was 9:30 and we need to get up earlier if we want breakfast and she walk away. I proceeded to the front desk to tell them what happen and then one of the worker saw a table that had a plate with wafle that wasn't eaten that some one left and she proceeded to pick it up to give to me. It was just incredible this place is still in any kind of business or that is a part of Choice Hotels. The manager Rocio threatened me that she was going to call the police stating I was yelling at her. All this came about is when I was trying to talk to her about what had happen. They were very unhelpful and the GM (Rocio) response was one I expected ...defending her rude staff. I check out immediately because of the service and condition of the hotel. if you look up the history of this hotel this story I'm stating is not a false one. There's sooo many others that have similar or same complaints about the staff and cleanliness of this hotel. It is unfortunate I lost out in some ways but if I can help anyone else not to lose out as well this is DEFINITELY not the place you want to stay with family much less alone.
We picked this hotel for its cheap

Mediocre
We picked this hotel for its cheap rates ($45 a night) and close proximity to Disney World. We got what we paid for and nothing more. The hotel is located on the main highway in Kissimmee, only about 10 minutes from Disney. The highway is very busy, ...
My stay was pleasant for the most part of the trip. The location was great and the people were really nice. My only pet peeve was when I 1st walked into my room is smelled like mildew. My 2nd was the lobby area was also the area where you eat...

This hotel is perfect if you're on a budget. It was extremely cheap, and came with breakfast, and a shuttle to Disney every day. The rooms were very spacious, and the beds extremely comfortable to come back to after a long day at the parks. There wasn't very much selection at breakfast- lots of carbs, but they did have waffles, which were good. My only complaint would be about the disney shuttle- it tended to come late and it takes about an hour in the morning to pick everyone up fromt he other hotels and make it to the park. At the end of the day the earlier shuttle came fairly close to the time it was supposed to come, but the late shuttle came an hour late the night we decided to take it. But for the price, it was worth having to wait. It was a great hotel, and we would definitly stay there again!
I am very likely
to return to the Quality Inn Maingate West.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I stayed maybe about 5 minutes to be 'nice' in 3 different rooms and was refused by the staff a full refund from this hotel. Each room had a very distinctive odor to it the 1st room the bathroom had hair dried what I presume is or was liquid to the tub and black particles, 2nd one had a smell of feces to it no TV that worked 3rd room had a very bad humidity odor or stench to it and the AC wasn't going at all..my daughter didn't feel safe and didn't want to touch anything. Aside from that the 3rd room had spiders outside of the walkway and stairwell areas. It was just incredible this place is still in any kind of business or that is a part of Choice Hotels. The staff threatened me stating I was yelling at them and I never once raised my voice and told her even I wasn't yelling at anyone and she repeated this. All this came about is when I was trying to be insistent on talking to a mgr about the full refund which they kept the first night anyway. They were very unhelpful and the GM (Rocio) response was one I expected ...defending her staff and crew and even stating false things in her letter to me if you look up the history of this hotel this story I'm stating is not a false one. There's sooo many others that have similar or same complaints about the staff and cleanliness of this hotel. It is unfortunate I lost out in some ways but if I can help anyone else not to lose out as well this is DEFINITELY not the place you want to stay with family much less alone. It's not worth staying here and regret not doing my homework ahead of time and seeing all the bad reviews it has.

Good Hotel for the money!!. I've stayed at this hotel several times while visiting Disney. It's a perfect place to stay cheaply. The rooms are normal, there is a free continental breakfast, and it's 2 miles from Disney. It's also right on 192 so there's tons of shopping and food right at your doorstep. The hotel is directly across from a shopping center, taco bell, and dairy queen. :) For a clean, cheap alternative...this is a great hotel and would easily recommend it.
