This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. First, the hotel had a few bugs and roaches in the room here and there. No big deal.
But the big deal is this: My mother came to visit on my third night there. I got her a room adjacent to mine. It happened to be a king bed with Jacuzzi. We checked in, and then the front desk came by and said there had been a mistake. She had gotten a Jacuzzi room ($89) for the regular price ($59). We didn't want to pay the extra money, so we packed up her stuff and temporarily moved it into my room while the staff found her a room. An hour later the staff stated that she could move back into the same room. We then signed a written contract to get that room that night for $59. Well, my mom moved back in. At 3 am the phone rang. It was the hotel desk telling her that they had again made a mistake and wanted her to move back out of the room. She told them no, and that she would settle it in the morning. A few minutes later she was awakened to the sounds of hotel employees trying to key into her room. She would not unlatch the deadbolt. The phone rang again and they told her that someone had made a mistake renting the room to her. She again told them that she was not prepared to deal with it at 3 in the morning and would take care of it later.
Needless to say, that morning we checked out of the hotel. The kicker was that they had agreed to rent the room for that rate. When we checked out, they again tried to get the $89 out of her. We refused to pay and will never again stay at a Quality Inn.
