My company has put me there for almost 2 years now. I started seeing a change a year ago. First I noticed a change in the staff, then the rooms being redone, now they're working on the outside. Their rates are great (I don't have to pay but if I did

I could not wait to come home and write this review...This has got to be the WORST hotel I have stayed in. The room was moldie smelling, the pool and surroundings were deplorable, the room and hotel look unsanitary. A franchise needs to buy this pla
i liked this hotel .. great price.. we did find a couple spiders.. ( i hate spiders) our tv sound was going out and there were no wash clothes.. and the breakfast sucks.. the coffee was bad .. but for the price i guess it was ok..

This hotel has been recently purchased and the new owner(s) seem to be trying to get things together. We had some minor issues, but over all the staff seemed willing to try and help. I do know about aquiring an already existing business. It does take time to work out the kinks and these owners seem to be trying to do that. Overall, our stay was good, we do look forward to seeing how things have improved in the future.

The Landmark Hotel and Conference Center is by far the worst hotel my family and I have ever stayed in and although the lobby is charming it is, at most, only aesthetic. We changed rooms three times and at the front desk, we were left with the same quality of service as the rooms we changed from. The front desk worker was obviuosly new because he couldn't seem to answer any of our questions. convieniently enough, the maids had gone home by then (managers as well) leaving the clerk alone and just as frustrated as us. The lobby/ room bathrooms were incredibly rancid smelling more of a garbage bin than a hotel bathroom, our room(s) were just two steps above the latter, there was this omnious carniesque presence from the RV camp behind the hotel, and lastly, the manager apologized but implied she would take corrective action against the front desk clerk who, of course, wasn't at fault! My recomendation to anyone reading this is stay at holiday inn or some other chain.

I was very disappointed in our stay! Stayed there the weekend of April 11, 2008.It had been recently bought out. The new owner was out of town in Lafayette, La. We had to switch rooms 4 times! The air conditioner didnt work in the first two rooms. The third, the air conditioner was set on HIGH but barely put out cold air. When we were transferred to this room, it was still dirty. We had to get cleaning supplies and clean the room our selves. The bathroom had hair on the toilet seat, when the sheets were pulled back, there was dark stains on the sheets along we several hair strands. There was a sign on the TV stating that the sheets were changed every 3, 6 and 9 days. I had assumed that meant for guests staying more than one night but after the condition on the room not sure. After cleaning the bathroom and changing sheets it was after midnight. When we got into bed and was looking toward the ceiling, there were dust bunnies hanging down from there at least an inch or more longer. I've never stayed anywhere this dirty before. We would have changed hotels but there was not another one available in the whole city. And believe me I called everyone of them. Aside from the young lady at the front desk and an older woman there was two men there. One the maintenance man and the other worked best I could find out as asst. manager. The best part was he would hide when someone would come to front desk. After complaining about the third room we were put in over the phone, my husband went to front desk he refused to come out from back and let the very young lady deal with all of the problems that were arising. We were not the only guests with problems that night. As we were checking in, a room was calling to complained about the air not working. We watched the older woman ( at least in her 60's or older) move familys from room to room, as the two "men" hid. When asked about the acting manager while the owner was away, we were told that they would try to reach Monica, but she didnt like being disturbed at night while she was sleeping. The next day, Saturday, upon returning to room at around 4:00pm. our room still had not been cleaned. When we inquired about this we were told that they may not get to us because the housing department was getting ready to leave for day. Again my husband went to front desk and told them that we wanted to speak with the owner and that we were not cleaning the room again. They then moved us into another room that did happen to be clean. I'm still waiting for the owner to call us about our complaints. My opinion is that this hotel should be closed till all repairs are made and competent help can be hired.

What a surprise! The Landmark Hotel has recently switched ownership and let me say, WOW! The staff seemed so cheerful and helpful. The hotel rooms looked and smelled so clean. The food in the restaurant was delicious. They have some new staff and a new chef. Our last stay was not as pleasant, but I will definitely be returning for all future business and visits. Landmark, you get a thumbs up from us.

We had read reviews about this facility and had no intentions to stay, but when we arrived for a family gathering being held there we were impressed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The banquet room was absolutely gorgous. This hotel has a New Orleans feeling without being in the city. Obviously, we decided to stay. The room was a king and it was very comfortable. My wife and I will definitely be staying here the next time we travel to Hammond.
New management and great improvemnts.

I been seeing a lot of negative reviews about this hotel. A lot of them are out dated and the hotel has gone through a couple changes since then. I am an employee there as well.
