Centrally located just off I-70 to all Columbia area attractions and businesses. Less than 2 miles from University of Missouri and historical downtown. Free full hot breakfast buffet. Indoor pool area includes - hot tub, game room, exercise room and sauna. All rooms include: coffee maker, iron/board, free wireless high speed internet, hair dryer and cable TV with HBO. Refrigerator and microwaves available. Meeting room and full banquet facilities. Pets are only allowed in down and out and the pet fee is 10.00 USD per pet, per night. Please advise anyone making reservations that if they do not notify the hotel of the pet, then a 50.00 USD per pet, per night fee will be charged. Any local guest must present valid credit card at check-in.

This motel STOLE $65.70 from me! I won't go into details but the service was horrible... I told them I wanted a refund and go someplace else and they REFUSED to refund my money AND they admitted that if I stayed they would call my room every two hours and /or have me escourted off the premises. My crime, I PAID FOR THE NIGHT IN CASH BUT REFUSED TO GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD NUMBER OR PAY ANOTHER $50 IN CASH FOR A DEPOSIT FOR THE ROOM. At the time I did this, I thought about giving them a credit card number but had not activated the credit card so decided against doing it. This was where a 3 day seminar I was attending, was taking place and while I didn't stay there the first night, decided maybe I should the second night so I would be close to the seminar. The seiminar lasted from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. so I hurridly booked a room and PAID CASH but told them I would later give them a credit card no. for the deposit. (They didn't want my debit card no.) Since this was nearing the end of the seminar, I did not have much cash on me. I didn't think when I did this over a 15 minute break that it would result in the night mare I had to go through!!!!
Every time I came through the doors the hotel clerks "reminded" me I had not given them a credit card no. for the room even though the room was paid for in full in cash. Finally after the day's seminar was over, I told them that I changed my mind. I didn't want to give them a credit card no and I did not want to give them $50 dollars in cash either for a room deposit when I had already paid for the room and wanted a refund so I could go elsewhere. QUALITY INN IN COLOMBIA MISSOURI REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND OF MY CASH AND ALSO RUFUSED TO ALLOW ME TO STAY THE NIGHT AT THE MOTEL. In essence, they stole my 65.70! I called the police but the police said "it didn't seem right" but they could not get involved! I called CHOICE HOTELS and they told me it was up to each individual motel and it's policies and could do nothing for me.
Folks... if you don't have credit cards (and I was trying to not have them anymore) this could be you!!!
The clerks were awful and harrassing me telling me that if I stayed in the room that they would call every two hours to tell me I needed to give them a card. I am a 52 year old woman traveling alone and these clerks were very young and this was just a game to them!!!
