So I read the other reviews online and said I'd just give it a shot because you really don't know.
Well, I should have listened to all of those negative reviews. Nobody speaks English except the lady at the counter. She gave us our room, we lugged everything up to the second floor to get to the room and the door was open. There was someone in the room!
So my boyfriend went down to get another room while I'm standing in the hall being ogled at by some non English speaking men. We get keys to new room on the third floor, get settled and turn on the TV and it doesn't work! So we move the TV stand and there was a missing cable cord, seriously, who steals cable cords.
I picked up the phone to call front desk and the phone is dead. The phone cord wasn't plugged into the wall, well of course it wasn't, there was no phone jack on the wall!
There was construction in the entire hotel, it reeked of paint. We grabbed our things and left immediately. If you're a female I wouldn't stay there alone, their clientele is very sketchy and I'm not just saying that cause I got freaked out, some of the people in there were kind of creepy! Stay in a pretty suburb. I recommend the Sleep Inn in Matthews, NC.
