I was a little scared at first to stay at this particular hotel after reading all of the other reviews, but I must say that I was highly impressed by the way the hotel was when I arrived. I booked a premium oceanfront room with two double beds, this is in the better part of the hotel. The room was very spacious, and had plenty of room to place all of my clothing and my family's. The bathroom was a nice size also, not like some of the hotel bathrooms where you can barely turn around in them. The service was also fantastic, the housekeeper we had was great, she even tucked in the stuffed animals that my children had brought. We had a little problem with the sliding glass door, but it was fixed immediately. The beds were very comfortable, the pillows were heavenly, we loved the pillows so much that we purchased some of those at the front desk before we checked out. The front desk personnel was very helpful and polite. The pools were clean. We stayed in room 410 and it was perfect because it was located right off of the elevator and in the corner of the hall. We had plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. Fresh complimentary coffee, tea and fresh fruit every day in the hotel lobby. The fresh fruit was at the hotel lobby desk. The beach was clean as always. This hotel located at 1601 Atlantic Avenue was centrally located to everything.

I would definately recommend this hotel if you had a bad experience with other hotels on the boardwalk. But keep in mind this is not going to be like the Hilton, but then again I have never stayed at the Hilton, I prefer the middle priced hotels.

My family has been staying here since 1982 and have been impressed by the improvements that have been made over the last couple of years. All of the rooms in the tower building have now been redone as well as a few rooms in the main building. The newly renovated premium rooms are very nice and definitely worth the extra money. The hotel, as of last year, is under new management and I cannot say enough positive things about the new manager. One day a thunderstorm popped up and she went out to the outdoor pool and told the people in the pool that a storm was coming up and that they should get out of the pool. The outdoor pools are well kept but the indoor pool area could really use some updating and TLC. Besides some maintenance issues here and there, this hotel is ideally located along the boardwalk and is quite reasonably priced. It is not the Hilton or Ritz Carlton but it certainly serves its purpose. Be sure to ask for a premium room and you will be fine.

I loved the awesome location and pools. I had a great time with my family. I stayed an extra day! I did not realize we were given wrong room. I spoke with the hotel and they will give us an upgrade next year.

The location was great, right on the boardwalk and at the start of the nice stores. There was plenty of room and everything needed was in the room. It was like living in a small apartment. It was nice to be able to have an oceanfront view.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They were helpful in everything we needed.

We wanted a sleep place for overnight before going to our rental on Sunday afternoon. This stay was more than adequate. The service and the accommodations were all very satisfactory.
