49 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
my wife and i have stayed here on three occasions. it's in a good location,and the prices are not overwhelming,and if you consider that clearwater beach is lacking in hotels,this is a good place to stay. all of the rooms have been upgraded this past year. yes,if you stay during the weekend,or during the summer months,the beach is full of boats,the rest of the time,it's mostly clear of boats. and to the person who wrote that the beach is small,and you can only get 3or4 people on it at one time is partly right. yes,the beach is small,but i have seen a lot more people on the beach than that. bottom line,this is not the pink hotel in st.petersburg,but for the money,it is a pretty nice place to stay. as a matter of fact,my wife and i have reservations for memorial day week in may. we can't wait!

This hotel does not face the Gulf of Mexico, it faces the boat channel leading into the bay. You can get a slight view of the Gulf from the beach side. The bad thing about the hotel is that they allow boats to come up and anchor off the beach to use ...
