Friendly staff, good breakfast and a comfortable room. Ideal for a short stay in the city. If there are some things which could be improved it would be the amount of hanging space in the room for clothes and the height of the showers which are difficult for tall people.

Q-bic was definetley an interesting hotel. Very different from the norm.

The rooms are great, neon lights to set a mood, and really futureistic. Beds are lush to sleep in, very big, spacious and v.comfy.

Theres no door on the bathroom, luckily i was sharing with my partner so not really any embarrassment, but depends on who you are sharing the room with i guess.

The only other down fall, was that everything is self service, check yourself in on a computer, vending machines for food+drink and no reception. So things seem a bit quiet and if theres a problem it would be hard to sort out and there was only ever 1 member of staff on duty at 1 time! Q-bics about 20 mins tram ride from centre of Amsterdam aswell, so its quite far out, but Q-bic as a hotel is wicked.

The hotel is inside WTC towers, very impressive. The design is just brilliant, so fresh and modern.

I stayed in the QBic hotel for about a week, and it was great.

Great atmosphere, the staff have been friendly all time and the place was just perfect.

The design is amazing and the neon is stylish.

It is in the WTC so it is very good connected to the airport and to the center.

But...

Wireless connection wasn't functioning all the time (nothing serious, 3-4 hours per day), the room has no true ventilation (and that's bad as the bathroom hasn't a door and the room hasn't windows) and you can't put towels / soap in a comfortable position near the shower, you just have to put it on top of the wc.

But worst of all, the room wasn't clean. Nobody really clean the room: they just give you new towels, nothing more. From the first day, there was dust everywere (and not simple grains, I'm talking about those big rolls) that wasn't cleaned. It stayed there, growing, for all the week.

Another thing is: staff "cleans" your room at 12. And if you're inside, they can open your door...and they will, without knocking. Happened twice, and it was annoying.

So, final thought? Great hotel, but the room service has to be better, as it's not a cheap hotel.

Beside that, I would really like to return in the QBic hotel...but next time I'll bring my vacuum and barricade the door with something!

The room has different colored lights to give a funky feeling while there. It was set up in a different way than most hotels and was a breath of fresh air. The reception people were very courteous and helpful. We stayed only one night but if we ever go agian we'll definetly stay there! Thanks Qbic!

IF you do not need a front desk and all the amenities of a full service hotel this is the place. Not a lot of extras, like telephones and clock radios in the room, internet in the room, but if you do not need it why pay for it? A little difficult to find, in the World Trade Center building. But very close to the train and rail transportation.

Very good stay Ftpbenny – Posted Apr 10, 08

A hotel very much worthy I should say. It is in a newly furnished modern building in a CBD center, an easy public transportation(Metro and Tram 5). Nice and humorous stuff, good breakfast and comfortable beds.

The only thing I would like to point out is the traffic information on their website is not so clear. If they could make it easier to understand it will be perfect. (Actually, they should say: take Tram no.5 at Central Station, get off at Gare Zuid)

After all, it is the best hotel I have stayed during my trip in Europe with 90 Euro for 2 persons.

I am very likely to return to the Qbic Hotel Amsterdam WTC.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Okay

After having stayed for one day I was pleased with the accomodation,

the second time I needed to make some calls on my room and i was on call for my work but there was no connection. I tried all dutch providers but could not make any connection.

So it's a good hotel but be aware that you cannot be reached and cannot call.

This can also be a hugh advantage.

Good location - on leaving Amsterdam, it took me 20 minutes to leave the hotel, take a train to the airport and check my bags in - 20 minutes! The hotel is therefore conveniently located (good transport links right on your doorstep) and only 15 mins by metro or train to central Dam. Hotel is located in a business district, but don't let that put you off. The room was pretty large, very clean (although the wooden floor could have done with a hoover/sweep) and the cubi concept bed/bathroom was pretty cool. I had no issues with the place at all. Oh and the whole check in thing was weird (i.e. no person there), but I just put my credit card in, typed in a few of my personal details (passport no. etc) and off I went! Would definitely stay there again.
