I would never had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant if I had listened to the earlier reviews posted on this site. On Saturday, Oct 20, 9 adults and 8 children, ages 5 months to 9 years, visted this restaurant afer a day of pumpkin picking. We arrived at 5:15 and left at about 8:30. Our server was very courteous and attentive. After ordering and receiving our drinks, we placed our order for appertizers. After receiving, we ordered our entrees. Everything came in a timely fashion, no mix ups, nothing had to be sent back, drinks reordered and brought quickly. From the shrimp/scallop croquettes and the calamari, to the braised short ribs, crab cakes, skirt steaks, etc., everything was perfect. Forgot to mention the desserts but they, also, were quite good. The decor was quite cozy as this is an historic building from 1810. My wife and I have a weakness for eating out, as well as our children, and this place is tops, no complaints from anyone. I strolled around at 6:30 and found a very nice crowd. I would definitely drive the 50 miles to have dinner there again
