The Proximity Hotel is scheduled to open during Fall of 2007, featuring spacious rooms with loft like sensibilities and large windows that allow for abundant natural light. The hotel is located in one of the best areas in Greensboro, at close distance to great shopping, dining and entertainment. With a "green mentality", the Proximity aims to achieve the LEED Gold certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) while maintaining the highest level of guest services. When staying at the Proximity Hotel, guests will enjoy amenities such as the Print Works Bistro (restaurant opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner), guest living room area on every floor with complimentary internet access, swimming pool, fitness center and 2.5 acres of natural habitat. The Proximity Hotel and the Print Works Bistro and bar will be entirely non-smoking (smoking areas will be provided for guests outside of the hotel).

We stayed at the Proximity in Greensboro for 3 nights. It was absolutely wonderful. I don't have a single negative to share. The hotel is decorated beautifully, very cool. It's Green certified, with solar panels on the roof as well as a green roof. Lots of extras such as robes, padded removable hangers, magnifying mirror in bath and extra pillows. The grounds are pretty with a small creek flowing by the restaurant. PrintWorks, the restaurant, was top notch. The very best thing about the hotel is their staff. I don't know who trains them, but they did an amazing job. Everyone is friendly, helpful, cheerful and efficiently competent. They really go the extra mile for you. We will definitely return.

This hotel is simply amazing. It is extremely clean and every employee is friendly and helpful. The guest rooms are a good size with WONDERFUL bathrooms with his/her sinks. Huge showers. Guest rooms have microwave and refrigerator. They provide wastebaskets for both trash and recyclables. Sodas and snacks are provided on each floor on the honor system. A fee is posted, but there is nothing to stop you from just taking the items. PLEASE DON'T! It is a nice ammenity. We even called when we got home to tell them that we accidentally took 2 of their hangers and were told that it was not a problem and a mistake that was "completely understandable." The atmosphere at the bar and restaurant was relaxing and service was perfect. I would almost consider traveling to Greensboro just to stay in this hotel without any other reason to go there. It's very close to downtown and local bars, restaurants, and shopping.
