Good
Lobby was worth the stay. The air conditioner was broken and there was a portable unit in the floor we had to walk around. I would prefer that the room would be in operating order for the price. Duct tape on the window and a portable air conditioner...

Lovely old hotel, but many of the rooms have serious deficiencies. Paint is peeling, baths are unvented, there is no airconditioning in spring/ fall hot weather spells and temperature is dependent on open windows with city sounds, ambulances, fire trucks, eg. very hard to sleep here.

Excellent
Very clean, very friendly service. No shades, only curtains in windows. It was very convenient to pretty much every aspect of Downtown Providence. Very friendly service, very happening place.

The hotel had a good location within walking distance of many destinations. It was luxurious and historic. The front desk staff was helpful about walking directions. The function rooms were impressive but several guests complained about the blandness of food.
This is a historic hotel and the decor gives an elegant impression. At some properties that are trying for elegance I feel that it is just stamped out of a mold. The service staff for our functions was more professional than usual.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Providence Biltmore Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.

I liked when I checked out.Room accommodations, front desk, price. Please don't be fooled by the gorgeous and elegant lobby. You may end up with a "deluxe room" just big enough for a king size bed, a bathroom with a cracked sink that leaks all the...
Wonderful comfortable beds.No mini-bar, bottled water or minifridge. The rooms that have been refurbished are very nice. The ones that have not are very out-dated. Be sure to ask! Great location and if the weather is bad, you can stay for meals at...
pros: history, view, food, locationStayed in November/2006. Great service, the restaurant downstairs had above average food. Nice scene. Busy during weekends with weddings. Beds were very comfortable. Starbucks downstairs, computer room, spa,...
