We were in New Haven with my mother at when she was in the hospital. This hotel was perfect for us and for her when she got out and had to stay close by for a week. I parked the car at the hotel and tool the shuttle to the hospital instead of paying
We called the front desk for some extra towels and some extra shampoo and conditioner,(Those little 1 oz. size don't cut it) we were ask "did you use the 2 towels provided already, and the shampoo and condition Huh", then we were told that they...
52 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
We loved this hotel because it was perfect for our needs. We were working on a project for 6 weeks and needed a spot that was residential in feel. The suite was spotless and newly renovated and spacious. The hotel provided a hot breakfast each day. We also stocked the refrigerator from the store. The evening receptions were nice. The pool is refreshing and we loved the free internet. We never used the fireplace, however it was nice to have it. There was daily maid service too. The best part was the friendly folks at the desk. They made us feel at home. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great spot and excellent value.
Very disappointed. Stayed here to assist a cancer patient who needed to be minutes from the Yale Cancer Clinic for daily treatments. We NEEDED to have a clean, mold free area to stay with a fully functional kitchen because she could not eat restaurant food because of the supressed immunity from chemotherapy. The first room had a broken dishwasher and broken air conditioner (95 degree heat wave outside). The air conditioner was fixed, but room had a funny smell to it. We woke up to a total flood in the carpeted bathroom sink area. We had to move rooms because of the risk of mold from the flood. The new room did not have a rack in the oven and we were told to grab the oven rack fro the old room. When we tried to use the oven that night, the oven knob was broken, (this explains why there was not a cooking rack in the oven I guess. I reported the flood (water still pouring out onto the carpet) at 8 am and at 1:00 pm nobody had arrived to look at it yet. The new room had missing pieces on the refrigerator's freezer door making it harder to store the food.
For a place that is supposed to have been recently renovated, both kitchens were terrible! Use caution here if you are a cancer patient or if you absolutely must use the kitchen to cook.
This hotel stay was my worst experience ever. I have never been to a more classless hotel in my lifetime. The hotel staff was extremely rude. The rooms were disgusting and unkept. I would not recomond this hotel to my worst...
More later. In the meantime, don't book here. The Quality Inn is a much better deal and with very nice upgrades and a service staff that doesn't make you feel like you are an inconvenience, it's like the "ritz" compared to the alternative. ...
My boyfriend was coming to visit me from New York and the original plan was to go to La Quinta Inn..but when we arrived there (though I had called in advancce) we were told the hotel was booked solid..(lesson: NEVER do a walk in ..reserve a...
I was visting New Haven to work with a colleague at Yale. He suggested the hotel since I was bringing my family. Lot's of room in the suite and the kitchen allowed my wife store bottles for our infant son. There was a van that drove me to Yale and...
We stayed two nights and although we knew about the breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised about the light dinner that was included in the price. We were in the area to see the Pilot Pen tennis tournament, and we would definitely stay again. The...
We were traveling to see friends with our kids ( 14,12 and 6) and this was a perfect alternative to a typical cramped hotel. The penthouse suite allowed us to have two bedrooms plus a couch. There was no fighting over the two full bathrooms. I was...
