36 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We chose this hotel because it was near Disneyland in Anaheim. It’s only a block away from the main gate.

The rooms are the primary reason we chose this hotel, there is a separate kids room with sliding glass doors that separate their space from adult space. But having stayed there once, we wouldn't do so again.

First, the floor had strong odors, a sewer smell down in the main hallways, which crept into the rooms. The telephones worked sporadically and the front desk didn't show much interest in fixing the issue.

There’s no restaurant at he hotel, you get a voucher for a restaurant a short walk away. But the main reason we won't go back is the fact that six weeks after our stay, the hotel decided to debit our checking account (we had paid our bill with our Visa debit card) again for the full amount we had paid two months before.

It took more than a week of repeated phone calls and e-mails to the manager and their accounting department before they fixed the problem and returned our money. No apologies, no nothing from the hotel staff. This speaks volumes about their attitude towards their guests.

Our advice: Find a different hotel.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. When there was a plumbing problems the plumber was up to fix it in less then ten minutes. It was a great hotel.

I am very likely to return to the Portofino Inn and Suites.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The room was fine. We stayed in a kid's suite; however, while we were at Disneyland, our vehicle was stolen right in front of the hotel. The staff was not helpful and we later found out that this is a problem near Disneyland. If you have the option, rent a car or stay somewhere with better security. There is no security at this hotel. We found out the hard way. Our car was found two days later in downtown LA and was deemed a total loss by the insurance company.

The location was poor. The hotel staff said that they are one block away from Disneyland. It was not true, it took twenty minutes to walk to it.

I am not likely to return to the Portofino Inn and Suites.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The room was okay but there was no place to sit to eat, no adult sized table. The room slept six but there were only seats for three adults and two small children so someone was always having to sit on the floor. The carpets were filthy, sticky, and the hide-a-bed was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on, and we tent camp.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Portofino Inn and Suites.
I might recommend it to friends.

I liked it because it was reasonably priced, and it was close to Disneyland/CA Adventure.
