They gave me the wrong address when booking. They had no idea of parking facilities which they had described at booking. There was no control over the heating or air conditioning.

I booked this hotel the weekend of the NYC Marathon, so it was about the only choice available. I read the reviews and looked forward to a small but clean place, utilitarian but in a great central location. Well, the location is indeed great, but that would be about it. Yes, the room was small, but that was okay. The room safe did not work and it smelled of stale cigarette smoke, but even that was okay. Then, I peeled back the bed cover to reveal the pillow and sheets, and there were four different types of hairs on the pillow, in addition to a fresh crusty yellowish-brown stain in the corner. That completely grossed me out, so we ordered a new sheet set from the lobby. When the new sheet set arrived, we remade the bed only to find another hair on the new sheets! After a sleepless night (we stayed 2 nights) we went and purchased our own sheets and slept on those. This was absolutely unacceptable for a hotel in a competitive industry to have a disregard for something as important as cleanliness!

We have stayed there several times and think it is a great little hotel. They are remodeling and have completed the lobby. They did away with the security cage. The lobby looks very nice and they said they are going to begin remodeling the rooms, which will result in a price remodeling. The best parts are the location and the price. I would highly recommend it if you aren't the type that needs shiny brass faucets.
