Port Alen Inn Motel - Page 1

We were riding a motorcycle and got caught in a storm and stayed there, but will not ever do that again.

The room had mold everywhere to the point that the wall paper was peeling off the wall and holes behind the wallpaper in the restroom.

The room was dirty (looked like it had not been cleaned in a while), the chair was stained from something being spilled on it as was the carpet.

The room was supposed to be non smoking but had an ash tray in the room.

The awning was missing so you had to walk in the rain if you went anywhere.

The coke machines did not work at all. Check in was slow but friendly and since it was late we had to stand in the rain to register.

They looked like they were renovating but our stay was terrible.

Never again

They were just cleaning, refurbishing, and remodeling from having housed destructive (it was even reported on the local news) Katrina evacuees for two years, so things were not perfect. However, decent for the price considering what they were going through.

Where I stay is not a primary concern for me. I stayed at Days Inn because it was closest to where I was going and had rooms available.
