Ponderosa Lodge Motel - Page 1

The Ponderosa used to be a beautiful place. I have stayed there on and off through the years since 1983. Don't be deceived by the so called "renovation" advertised on their website. It is a disappointment to say the least. Only select items were "renovated" in each room. When we stayed at the Ponderosa in October of 2007, numerous guests we talked with reported various problems in their rooms. Issues ranged from leaking toilets to televisions that did not work. The grounds are overgrown along the river, the flags are tattered, the driveway lighting is broken and laying on the ground, the the management has issues with the owner. Do not waste your time and money planning a nice vacation to Colorado, only to be deceived by the "Ponderosa Lodge". Stay anywhere but here, PLEASE.

My wife got a bad altitude headache and tried to get a refund after staying one night of a two night stay. I told them at 0900 and it was not to be had. Upon complaining to the Lodge and BBB they still refused. She had had two near strokes previously and did not want to take any chances.
