My Wife and I are in our mid 50's and reserved. We stayed at Poipu Kai Resort ,Maunaloha section unit 1104. The stay was very nice, the unit was clean and spacious. The only problem we had was a week later. A week after we returned home I received an email from Suite Paradise Resorts, falsely accusing us of damaging the bed spread and bloodying the sheets and washcloths. We were told our credit card would be charged $159. Needless to say we were appalled. We left the unit spotless minus the usual usage of the units amenities. We even ran the dish washer. So you might want to have the management come check the unit before you check out so you are not falsely accused of damage . They did remove the charges after we disputed them. Just a heads up. Complimentary mai-tais/guava juice upon checking in at the reception desk was very nice. Other nice perks included a free bottle of Chardonnay white wine and kona coffee. The amenities i.e. Weber BBQ's, pool and hot-tub were great. We stayed at the "Kahala" section of the resort. What we didn't like was the suites were very outdated and dirty. We found ants all over the kitchen counters. The furniture were worned. The Bathrooms were old, grungy and dirty. Tubs/sinks/faucets were greasy/soap scrum build-up/mold/mildew. It was a big turn-off. The cleaniless of the rooms is lacking and that is a Big factor of us not returning.
