I had my uncle and his family coming to visit from Sweden, and since they couldn't stay in my dorm I started looking for hotels on the beach. This hotel is perfect for a cozy place right on the beach for people from cold weather places. I actually ...

42 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Being that this was our first trip to St Pete Beach, we turned to the internet for our research. Our search criteria was to find a hotel no larger than three floors, directly on the beach, pool, internet access and most importantly, clean. We do not like the large hotels where you have to walk through the lobby, pass the gift shop, and pass a wedding party, just to get to the beach. The plaza beach resort was perfect, it met our criteria and more. We were pleasantly surprised to have found that our room had a full kitchen, very spacious with two beds and a sofa. The bathroom was a little small but it was well laid out. We had an oversized sized TV in our roo with DVD player, with free movies from the front desk. The pool and pool area was large, there were plenty of lounge chairs for everyone. The hotel does offer free cabana on the beach which was a nice touch. What was really nice was that the wireless internet reached the cabanas on the beach, so I was able to do work from my laptop on the beach. So, would I recommend this property to you, definitely yes. It simple, clean and not expensive, and has everything you need.

I stayed at the Plaza Beach while I attended a seminar at the Gulf Coast Ultrasound Institute. The location of the resort couldnt be any better. Its directly on the beach and centrally located. I walked to the seminars, restaurants, and shops. The rooms were larger than your usual hotel and very clean. It was important to me to get a good amount of rest during the night, and I certainly did. The resort is very quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. Overall, I had a great stay.
