I had a one bedroom condo with a kitchen. It was, overall, a good experience. It was a pleasant facility and they had attentive help. It was somewhat a long but easy walk to the center of the town. It was close to marina activities. They had limited parking at the hotel, but it was never completely full. They had a very nice beach. It had a smaller pool complex than some local resorts, but larger than others. The pools were well maintained. As with everywhere in Mexico, it seems to be a more or less constant state of construction. Teaser gifts or goodies for timeshare presentation were less than most others. The kitchen was functional but limited. It had very cheap pans and utensils. There was a countertop microwave, but no oven. There was also no dishwasher, though the maids did dishes. No outdoor grill was available. They had a good deal on drinks during the happy hour. My advice is to get out of town for a bit more Mexican experience. We enjoyed our day trip to Todos Santos. The souvenirs and the crafts are cheaper than in Cabo. We followed the locals to a sidewalk taco stand for lunch. They had good, cheap local food.
This hotel made me feel Secure: The security people at the gate actually talk to each group coming in, car or walking, rather than wave through anyone in a rental car that looks foreign. The security staff at the front entrance and walking the grounds was pleasant, attentive and helpful.
I am very likely
to return to the Playa Grande Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
