I loved the room. Especially for the price. It was a great value. It was way better than any room I've stayed in at a strip hotel. Stay here instead of paying inflated prices to stay on the strip. It's only one block away.

I didn't like that they

Excellent

Stayed there in early May for a conference at Bally's nearby. The rooms were huge, comfortable and the kitchen was a bonus. Rates were cheaper than Bally's. Service and location was impeccable!!!!!

Will go back again!!!

Simply put...the Worst Hotel Ever. – Posted Jun 16, 2008

Horrible

My group was treated horribly during our stay during Memorial Weekend. Our reservation was incorrect, even though the Hotel Manager viewed our and acknowledged the reservation was correctly placed. One bed was not made and when we requested the staff to do so, all that was done was the delivery of sheets to our door! Valet service was miserable. We regularly waited to be acknowledged and were only allowed to have one car per room! On top of that, a valet attendant misplaced a package of mine! Do NOT Star here! Better value at motel 6!

The hotel was really pleasant and comfortable. The front desk was a little out of the loop when one agent told us we could call one day and they could tell us if we could check in early and then when we called they said they would not know until a couple

The parking service and the men at the door were so pleasant and helpful. I really enjoyed it.

I am very likely to return to the Platinum Hotel Las Vegas.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Great Hotel, stayed 30th Sept, 7 days... – Posted Oct 15, 2007

Perfect hotel, location good, just a 10 minute walk to strip at the most. Hotel rooms was perfect, we were there for a week and our rooms were cleaned everyday and towels and bed sheets were changed. The pool was on the 5th floor and was never busy, plenty of sun loungers. We walked to and from the strip at all hours and it was perfectly safe. This hotel his just behind ballys near center strip. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would stop here again on are next visit.

Good decor, but room service was poor – Posted Sep 29, 2007

Mediocre
33 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

I stayed at The Platinum in August. The decor is new and plush, the rooms impressive sizes and all the trappings are good. We stayed in a room that had a huge kitchen and bathroom. The service at the spa was excellent and the concierge was also good. The location is great only being a 10 minute walk from the strip(although in the heat that was a little unpleasant).

However, room service was poor. We did not get our room cleaned unless we begged for it. We would return at night and find that towels had not been replaced, beds not made and the room was still untidy. We had to actually ask at reception for them to clean the room a number of times. Apart from that, at the end of my stay I had my card charged for an incorrect amount. It was immediately returned, but when I returned home, I realized that my bank charges different prices for buying and selling currency on a card and I was thus charged £15 for this mistake made by the hotel. I have emailed the hotel countless times and received no reply - they clearly think that they are owed this extra money. On leaving the hotel we left no extra tip(although we did leave one for the spa staff and other staff who served us) as we didn't think that the service that we had go for our room deserved that - maybe they are keep it because of that. It may seem to be harsh to lambaste the hotel for only £15, but I don't think I should pay for their mistake.

Overall, I would not stay again, which is a pity as the hotel has a lot going for it. If they sorted out all aspects of service, then it would be a better hotel.

Nice change from the strip. It was perfect for a layover. We were upgraded without asking.

No major complaints. I am extremely OCD with hotel bathrooms and I visualize this hotel looking shabby in the bath are in the next year. Its newer and some of the tiles already have mold and are broken.

Bed was comfortable.

Kitchen was nice but not very functional unless you are just trying to reheat the food, as there is no equipment to cook.

Going back to vegas in a few months and will skip this hotel for the revisit. Time to move on. If you want a quiet place stay here, just get back before dark.

O.k. rooms or condo's but the transportation is horrible. It sits in a bad location. They also told us that it was a 10 minute walk from strip, o.k.

If you don't get robbed or die of heat stroke first. They said they had a house car available that would give us rides, another lie.

I will not stay again. I stayed for three weeks and book August before. I cancelled and will not be back.

A cut above the rest – Posted May 15, 2007

Excellent

This hotel was fantastic! A clean, quiet and luxurious place to stay that was reasonably priced.

If you are looking for a place to stay that is away from the crowds of Vegas and the "riff-raff," and "not the smartest-cookie in the bunch" typical tourist that visits the strip then stay here! I didn't think there would be so many tourists in Vegas, but there are.

Luckily, this hotel has an upper-crust type of visitors staying here, executives, people with manners, and a higher functioning mental capacity.

This hotel is non-smoking, and non-gaming which is a total treat to go to once you have been walking through the crowded, noisy, smoke-filled hotels on the strip.

The only disappointing part was that the food from room service was not so great, but if you went to the fifth floor restaurant and ordered the same thing then it was very nicely prepared.

The pool was nice and quiet and did not have thousands of people at it like in the bigger hotels in Vegas.

Our room had a balcony, beautiful granite kitchen and bathroom, plasma TV in the living room, with a "mock" fireplace that created a relaxing atmosphere.

There was also a washer dryer in our room which was fantastic b/c I did not have to wash any clothes when we came home -- and sometimes I wanted to wear something twice so I was able to wash it there. It felt like I had never left home! It was wonderful.

Every morning there was a paper waiting at our door and the maids came and organized our room after we left. We had left the door sign out to not disturb us while we were there, in the mornings, and put the sign out to tidy our room when we went out in the afternoon, so the room was ready when we came back.

Thus, the entire time we were able to relax without being disturbed in the mornings by the staff knocking on our door, b/c we had put the sign on our door. (good thing to remember to do when coming back in the wee hours of the morning).

The valet at the front door is great! You are not stuck looking for a parking space and then having to walk forever like at other hotels, and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Although our room was not ready when we arrived at 11:30a, (b/c check-in was 4p), we met up with the rest of our party, and grabbed a bite to eat. We left our stuff in the trunk of the rental car and after eating looked at some shops, by 3p when I called to see if our room was available it was and we went over to the hotel.

It was not a big deal to wait a bit b/c the room was amazing. We had the solitaire suite and it was superb, (if we stayed in a higher price suite, I couldn't imagine how it could be any nicer b/c our room was like staying at home) clean, comfortable, and spacious.

So, basically my advice is: If you are not a caveman/-woman and can appreciate the finer things in life, are not into buffets, don't smoke, and just want a nice, relaxing place to go, then definitely stay here. The platinum rocks!

Excellent
35 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

First let me say that I had "OCD" when choosing a room for my recent trip to Vegas. I checked out all the reviews online and found the new Platinum Hotel. I felt that this hotel was best because I was traveling with my husband and 3 year old son and wanted more space than a standard room. I also liked that the hotel was not located right on the strip and was smaller than the mega hotels on the strip. I paid for a "limited view" princess room and was upgraded to a "strip view" upon check-in. I requested an upper level room to be removed from the street noise and was very pleased with our room on the 15th floor. Everything is new and the room cost less than a standard room at the larger hotels. The hotel staff was very accomadating. We had a rental car and utilized the valet parking frequently. They were always so fast and friendly. For those without vehicles, there was always a cab or a shuttle available. We walked to the strip on several occasions and it really was just a short distance away. When I did not feel like walking, I just drove to each hotel and utilized the free valet parking (and just tipped the valet staff). If you want your room "refreshed" daily than you must put up your refresh sign on your door otherwise you will be overlooked. It also costs $12.99 a day for internet. I will definately book a room again at the Platinum Hotel.
