Worst experience in Vegas ever!!! Rude argumentative staff (Angel) at check-in and with the phone operator. Room service took over one hour to arrive, pool area was filthy, empty beer cans & drink cups all over and wet towels on all of the chairs. YUCK!! Towel person at pool was rarely there....became self service. Dead flowers in a vase on the table in the entry area from the pool. Service was definitely hit or miss. Room was nice and cleaned well. The whole casino smelled like sewer gas??? This place needs a new GM!!!!! I have told everyone about the poor service and would not recommend this to anyone. We loved the Miracle Mile shops, but they are independant of PH. I would love the opportunity to speak directly to the GM. Stay June 28 - July 1, 2008.

I am not likely to return to the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
I would not recommend it to friends.

PROS: Check in was smooth. The person who helped us was friendly. It was easy to find our way around the casino and hotel with all of the signs. We got to our non-smoking room, which was a good size. Very nice linens on the bed that felt clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable if you like sinking in, but with support. The room also had a small desk, a table and two chairs, and an armoir that held the TV, six drawers and a small closet. The ironing board and iron were in that small closet, but there was plenty of room to hang our clothes for the weekend. The bathroom was awesome with a huge oval tub, separate toilet area, stand up shower and granite counter with one sink. Pool/sundeck area was nice with friendly waitresses. Check out was fast and simple.

CONS: For a non-smoking room I wonder why we kept having cigarette smoke coming into our room. Maybe it was through the vents, or from the hallway. Either way it was horrible. I think the floor that we were on (11)has not yet been renovated, but that should have been reflected in the price that we paid. I feel that we were ripped off. Our room had no refrigerator, no coffee maker (which is usually standard in most hotels), and old Aladdin carpet in the room and hallways. The purple towels never smelled clean, they always smelled like cigarette smoke or sweat - really disgusting! Personally, I prefer white towels even if they do smell like bleach, at least I know they are clean! We had to use some of the toiletries that the hotel supplies, due to airline carry-on restrictions. All I can say about those is "yuck"! Didn't smell nice and didn't feel nice.

A lot of good qualities, but the bad outweighed them. For the $250 a night that we spent here, I will definitely spend that somewhere else next time!

I've stayed at the Planet Hollywood twice now.

The first time it was under renovation and I got a slightly bipolar room, decorated with Aladdin stuff, but with a Sylvester Stallone Poster in the bathroom. None the less I walked away with a great impression of the Hotel, especially its excellent location.

If you're a first time Vegas-er you may be surprised to see how far it is to walk from one side of the strip to the other. At least a two hour walk. The Planet Hollywood is smack dab in the center, beside many clubs, resteraunts and shopping malls.

My second stay was even better. We had a renovated room, which was spotlessly clean, adequately large, and had a bathroom to die for. Walk in shower that is easily big enough for 5 (not to suggest one would put five in a shower.. ) a huge deep tub, double sinks.. just over all very nice.

The hallway on my floor, as well as the loby and casino floors were renovated and very nice. Casino staff were friendly (I suggest taking a free how to course).

The check in was easy enough. I waited maybe 5 minutes. Their concierge service for luggage on check out went smoothly (we checked out much earlier than our flight so left our bags there).

The Spice Market Cafe was yummy, but the adjacent club was a bit boring.

The pool is a concrete slab, that was my only disappointment. Considering that on my first stay the pool was closed for renovations I expected more.

Regardless, this hotel is a good bet. I'd definitely ask for a renovated room though. Enjoy your stay, and make sure to check out the adjacent shopping mall.

Rooms were ok. Hotel is in process of renovating and we did not get a new room. They stated that it would cost $40 more for an updated room. No coffemakers in room, which was a negative for me. Beds were very comfortable, though. We booked as a group, and one member of the group did not get the room they booked (queen beds booked and only had a king). They stated that when we booked it, it was a request and they cannot guaranteed a King or Two Queens, it was based on availabilty. Didn't agree with that since rooms were booked well in advanced (this was a hotel issue and not a Groople issue). Overall, the hotel was very nice and in a good location.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

If you do stay here, make sure to get a remodeled room. the old ones are dirty and out dated. Bed was very uncomfortable. The first night we had no hot water, although the next day the were very nice about giving us a new room, it took half the morning to get it done. There are plenty of nicer places to stay.
