We stayed at the river palms, they had dirty rooms and noisy neighbors. Machines sucked up the money in no time. Stopped at The pioneer on the way out of town. Won all the money we lost back within a couple of hours . Everyone was so friendly,...
It was our first time traveling without our motor home and since it was the only place in Laughlin that accepts pets we really had no choice. The room size was adequate but it also was exceptionally worn out. It was obvious that there had been a fire, possibly in an adjoining room because there was smoke stain on the bathroom floor and the tub bottom was very grayed.
The room was clean but due to it being worn and very dark, it appeared otherwise. We were put in a smoking room, which is where all pets are sent, evidently, so naturally it stunk to high heavens. We were required to pay a $100 cash deposit which was refundable but not until the room was inspected by some one before we could check out. That process did not take long. Someone was there a few minute after we called the desk to request the inspection.
We would not recommend the buffet in the restraunt. We've tried it twice over the past six years and both times it was disappointing. But then we are both considered gourmet cooks so we have a tendency to be pickier than your normal guest would be.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Pioneer Hotel & Casino.
I might recommend it to friends.

I have stayed at the Pioneer on many of my trips to Laughlin. I appreciate that this is one of the very few Casino's that accept pets. I have a small dog that usually travels with me. I have no one to care for my pet when I am away and to board her would be expensive. Because of the Pioneer I am able to have the fun of a casino in Laughlin, otherwise the trip would not be possible.

on June of 07 My husband and i celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at the pioneer in a suite, and it was one great week for us, the room was very nice and cozy, and kept up very nicely. None of the casinos were paying, but everything else was nice and relaxing. The room was kept up all week long and the people were very nice. I will be staying at the pioneer whenever i go back to laughlin. They might not be the fanciest place to stay, but it is a comfortable place to stay.

Unlike all the other "touristy" places in Laughlin, my husband and I enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere like the Pioneer. I find that the rooms are clean and the employees are friendly and helpful. I have stayed at all of the other hotel/casino's in Laughlin and this one is the best!!
when i when to get a membership the customer service desk were very friendly.and i even got five dollars, to become a member, next time i am in town i will go and play at pioneer casino.
My wife and I stayed at the Colorado Belle but did almost all of our gambling at the Pioneer. Had much better luck at the Pioneer then at any of the other casinos on the river. We are planning on staying at the Pioneer the next time we go to...
