56 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We made reservations through Alaska Tours (stay away from) 10 months previous to our vacation. When we arrived at Pikes Landing, they did not have any rooms for us. They sent us to Alpine Motel. They are Not even in the same league with Pikes. All they have is rooms. Typical Motel! There was no place to eat. We did not have transportation. Alpine did their best to help us. We were totally disappointed with Pikes and Alaska Tours. We called our travel tour people, but they were so kind as to NOT return our calls. We were stuck!

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved the atmosphere. There was a large area downstairs with a big tv/dvd player. We played movies for our kids while we sat around the tables and chatted. The front desk had fresh cookies and coffee every night...
