My husband and I have been staying at Pettigru Place for 6 years, starting when our son was a freshman at Furman University in Greenville. At the time it was owned by Sherry and Fred, who welcomed us as though we were family, and now it is owned by the very capable Lori. Indeed, each time we visit we feel as though we are "coming home." We can't say that about any other place we've ever stayed. But then most hotels and even B&Bs don't have the comfort and attention to detail that Pettigru Place does. From the bowl of chocolates at bedside, to the comfy mattresses and lovely decor, from the afternoon wine and cheese, to the charming neighborhood, it can't be beat. And the gourmet breakfasts! Oh my goodness! After eating one of those you're absolutely set until dinner. On top of all that, the price is very affordable. We would never consider staying anywhere else when in Greenville. I would have to rank this B&B above any others we have enjoyed--and certainly for the price!

What a neat place to celebrate my Birthday! The rooms were beautiful, clean, and Laurie, our host, was very accommodating and gracious. The breakfast was delicious!!!!We would certainly return again.
