This San Francisco Inn is very welcoming from the moment you walk into the lightly scented lobby. Warm touches abound. While I'm not into the whole floral game it was great for a "moms weekend away." I don't know that my husband would really like the decor very much, but he'd find it relaxing.
I liked that it was not a "huge" hotel. This served our outing well as a welcoming, inviting, relaxing Inn right in the heart of SF was just what we needed.
They have a lovely and spacious sitting area downstairs that afforded 10 of us "moms" to freely gab into the night without bothering any other guests. While my room was quite spacious friends had much smaller rooms. The bed was a heavenly feather bed and I still recall how soundly I slept (when you don't sleep well you can actually remember the few times you do).
Again, the room was well decorated but it's not my style. It was clean and had a lot of "comfort" items. It was a great diversion for a bunch of moms who don't get together near as much as we would like.
The breakfast was quite nice and specialty items from a nearby popular bakery are signature (yum). Most importantly for us was that the Inn was walking distance (a bit long) to the theatre where we caught a show and had a nice dinner.
They were very helpful with parking as well which is no fun in the city. We considered it a success as no one got a ticket.
