We just got home from a "family history excursion" in Ontonagon. The trip to get there was a very long drive (10 hours), with us only stopping to eat. They gave us directions to get to the cabins, but she also had us call them when we were within a few miles. It was nice knowing that they were waiting for us. They walked us to our cabin and showed us everything we would need to know. Our cabin was very comfortable. It was nicely decorated and had everything we would need for a few days stay. The lake was just a short walk. I know they had other guests in the other cabins but we never heard them because it is so quiet. They were very helpful and had all the information we needed to enjoy the area. The Lake in the Clouds and the mountains are beautiful. We ordered pizza from the local pizza place. Although they don't deliver, they brought our pizza to our cabin when we told them they recommended them to us. The check out time is 10am., which might have been hard if we hadn't been in such a hurry to get on the road again. This is a great place to stay and I highly recommend the cabins. They are not expensive and much more comfortable than a motel!
