46 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

This was the worst hotel experience of my lifetime!!

My husband and I were traveling from Susanville California and needed a hotel the night b4 our early morning flight. Normally we stay at the Atlantis, but I thought I'd try a new place. I booked my room online. It sounded lovely.

We got to the hotel and had a moderate rate in line. Finally got done and our clerk gave us a map with easy instructions to our room. Go up the elevator, take a left, cross the blue glass skybridge and we find our room. Well, we walked and walked and combed and combed. Our room was not there. We used a house phone and they told us just to go around the corner a bit more and go down a service elevator to the 1st floor. HUH? We went down the service elevator and it brought us outside to a dangerous construction zone! We went back up the elevator and called the front desk again.

FINALLY, the third person told me we had to walk across this dangerous construction zone to get to our room. Our room was in fact in a small building at the back end of the property. We had been dragging and toting HUGE pieces of luggage for over an hour at this point.

We finally get into this little dive they call part of the hotel and it was horrible. The room was dirty, the TV didn't work, belongings from the guests who were in the previously were still there. Even their old coffee was still in the coffee maker. It was the nastiest thing EVER!

We finally trekked back to the hotel (it was freezing conditions outside) which was about a 10 minute walk to get to the casino. Had a meal went back outside to SNOW! Once again I had to walk across this dangerous construction site to slip, fall and almost kill myself on these huge metal plates they have covering the ground.

Early in the AM my husband had to get up and trek back through the snow to the casino to get our car. We valet parked it, but what good was that when it took over 10 minutes of walking outside in a death trap to get to it.

Also there is ZERO staff in the old junky building out back. It's a huge security risk let alone a flithy, dirty flea bag motel.

STAY AWAY. If you don't be sure and ask SPECIFICALLY if your room is in the hotel or the shack out back they like to call the Montego Bay Wing.
