Our daughter was married at the Pelican Grand...overlooking the beach...in June of '07....After one year, we are still getting raves about the service, the food, the accommodations...and the entire magnificent wedding...We could not have picked a more beautiful hotel. The happy couple returned one year later and was treated as royally as the day they were married...It was a dream weekend not to be forgotten...We highly recommend this hotel for any occasion..

The hotel was awesome and right on the beach. It was the best!

During our stay we never left the grounds other than for walks. Yes the housekeeping staff was loud, but they were very friendly and the room was very clean. Our first 2 nights our ocean view room had a view from a side window so we asked and were given another room with a great ocean view from the bed and a balcony. The pool, beach and lazy river were all great- although the comments about too many kids with too liitle supervision seem well warranted. we would go back there again, no questions!

My husband and I loved our stay at Pelican Grand Beach Resort. We had a huge oceanfront condo/room which overlooked the beach and pool/lazy river.

It had a beautiful view from our bedroom and walk out deck/balcony. When we first walked in there was a little foyer area, then a living area with a TV, conference sized table, and couches. Then there was a long, but narrow kitchen. There were two lighted closets, a vanity area, bathroom, and a huge bedroom with gigantic windows that looked out onto the water. There was even a door to walk outside by the beach. We truly enjoyed our stay there and were interested in purchasing.

The staff was very friendly. We arrived really early, around 9:30AM and our check in time was for 3:00PM. They told us that they would try to get our room ready as soon as possible. They called our cell phone around 10:30AM to tell us that our room was ready and we can go in. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

This place was very pretty and clean, the building is newer. The housekeeping staff was very loud in the hallways every morning. They were yelling back and forth at each other and I found that quite unprofessional and annoying.

The beds were very comfy and provided excellent sleep. I am confused on whether this place is even a hotel anymore? All you see everywhere are pamphlets and commercials trying to sell these rooms. I am wondering if this is a condo conversion or what it is.

If you are a younger couple looking for excitement, I would not recommend this hotel either, as the guests are mostly older or younger with lots of kids. The lazy river is great but we couldn't enjoy it because it was packed with screaming kids that were splashing around and swimming in the wrong direction without tubes.

I think they need to provide better supervision over what goes on in the pool/lazy river area.
