Located in the center of town, the Peacock Inn is within walking distance of everything Princeton has to offer. The building which now houses the Peacock Inn is one of Princeton's most historic. On the tax rolls since 1775, the inn was moved from Princeton University campus one hundred years later. The Peacock Inn has become a Princeton landmark and gathering place since opening its doors to the public in 1912. During these many years, the Peacock Inn has provided convenient, comfortable lodging in a warm, hospitable environment for travelers. Its address, one block from the Princeton campus, is partly responsible for the inn's roster of illustrious guests such as Bertrand Russell, Albert Einstein and F. Scott Fitzgerald, who have come from all over the world to this grambrel-roofed inn with high dormers, multipaned windows and big front porch. Today, the inn continues to offer the feeling of friendliness of a large and varied family. The inn currently contains 17 comfortable guest rooms, an elegant French restaurant, and a lovely bar for lighter fare. We think you'll agree the Peacock Inn is a very special place - a Princeton landmark dedicated to discreet service, simply superb food and unhurried leisure all year round. Join us at the Peacock Inn for a week or just a weekend.

I stayed there one dreadful night in January with my daughter. The steam radiator burst while we were out at dinner and when we returned the alarm was ringing and the beds and all our clothes were wet from the condensation from the steam. My...

Excellent
I have only kudos for The Peacock Inn. Both the hotel and restaurant are first rate. The hotel must constantly be in the process of renovations since on each trip we noticed painting or wallpapering in one room or another. The patio in the back...

Excellent
I have been staying at The Peacock Inn off and on for almost five years. I travel a lot and this is one of my favorite places. The staff always remembers me and greets me by name; frequently they ask about my family and dog, Paws. I cannot say...
The Peacock Inn is a charming property located within walking distance of the University. The staff is small and friendly. I like it because they remember who I am. During the winter, I checked in unexpectedly due to a snow storm. Staff had...

Horrible
I recently stayed at The Peacock Inn and warn you that it is not at all what it promises in its web site. The "antiques" are cheesy, the beds are small and squishy, the rooms are tiny, and even if you are the only guests in the hotel, they have no...
