The restaurant currently offers fine dining of gourmet foods and service. I assure you that the Peabody is a an upper scale, 5 star, recently remodeled, hotel. Yes, the hotel was once sadly in need of a make over and they did from top to bottom. Try ...
Don't bother with the Peabody

Mediocre
The atmosphere of the hotel is pleasant enough. The front desk was efficient if unremarkable. Where things really fell apart was with the food service. I arrived to the hotel at 2:15pm, 45-minutes before the stated check-in time. Check-in was fine,...

Mediocre
The lobby is breathtakingly beautiful and the duck march is very cute and charming. That's where the good stuff ends. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. The valet lied to me about the charge for overnight parking (told me it was $19 total ...

This place is in desperate need of a make over or a complete management change from the aweful food in the resturant to the dirt and dust all over the place to the broken items in the best suites. The place is in bad shape and I doubt with any of...
56 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
This hotel looks good, is clean, has friendly staff, and is located near the Riverwalk area, which has some OK restaurants and a lot of bars. Some rooms have great views of the Arkansas River. However, we arrived in late October, when it had just turned cold, only to learn the hotel doesn't turn the heat on until November 1, regardless of the weather. There also was no hot water in the afternoons, presumably another cost-saving measure. The breakfast buffet was mediocre and mostly cold, but not cheap. Everything at the Peabody costs a lot of money, and every time you turn around you're handing out tips. Fact is, you can get the same bed, TV stations, wireless reception, and ice machines at any Comfort Inn or LaQuinta, but they don't charge you for their mediocre breakfast, they generally have coffee in the lobby and hot water in the rooms all day, and they let you control the heat. So unless you think that price is the same thing as quality, you just happen to like ducks and bellhops, or you really need to be near the Riverwalk, I can't recommend this place. A pale copy of the original.
