I went there because i went to tour a resort with bluegreen and what a mess.. First they put us in this hotel with mold on the bathroom floors and ceilings that i thought was gonna fall on our heads.. The pool forget it looks pretty but the stairs to go in shaked was afraid to even use them to get out of the water. The beds another story woke up with backaches. Mattress must be 100 years old they rocked back and forth like you were rocking on water the headboards banged every time you turned around in the bed. You could hear you next door neihbors and my four year old couldnt even sleep due to hearing laughing and talking like they were in our room hopefully if you want to go here you should think twice and serious cause you are not gonna be a happy person.. I could take alot but here no way..

My husband and I visit Colonial Williamsburg frequently and this USED to be our hotel of Choice, within walking distance to the Historic Area. At that time, it was part of the Best Western system. At our most recent visit, we learned that another company had taken over. The room was dirty and the window was broken. We were changed to another room and promised that one night would be free. As we had prepaid, they were supposed to refund our money. That was 18 months ago, and we have yet to see the refund. The manager is either busy when I call, or they say they will take care of it...NOT!

The food is terrible, the linen is torn and, even the non-smoking rooms smell of stale smoke and God knows what else! It's not worth the money!

My husband, my 3 kids and I stayed here to attend a friends wedding. We were surprised at how cheap the rate was compared to other hotels. When we arrived they couldn't find any evidence of our reservation. So we had to provide all our information all over again which for some reason took forever. The room was pretty clean and everything was pleasant. The beds aren't bad to sleep on and my kids enjoyed the pool. I can say that there wasn't anything terribly wrong with our stay. For the price we paid it was suitable. I will add that later on they ended up charging us twice for the room. For some reason when it came to charging us for the room, our lost information seemed to magically appear. I will definitely get a faxed or emailed confirmation if we visit again.

OK, so this hotel got some bad reviews and almost scared me off, but it wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. I stayed during a prime weekend (William and Mary graduation in the summer), but the rates were much lower than the competitors. The hotel was clean and well-furnished. Breakfast wasn't bad (the coffee was excellent). As far as service goes, this definitely wasn't the best, but I'm usually a self-sufficient traveler anyway, and I didn't need anything beyond the basics. Of course, you can't beat the location. Overall, I would say that if you are trying to budget for your vacation, this is definitely a great place!

What has happened to this great hotel? I have stayed a number of times at this hotel and my stay this Sept 2006 was awful. After a four hour ride to the hotel, at check in, I had to stay and listen to a timeshare talk, just what I wanted to do.

When I finally got to my room, the toilet was broken, I was moved to another room, it was dirty and the furniture was damaged, and there were tons of cobwebs on the window. The sheets and blankets look very old and had holes in them. The breakfast was gross, there were flies everywhere. I would never stay at this hotel again, it wasn't worth the money, I couldn't wait to get home and take a real shower!

I am not likely to return to the Patrick Henry Inn.
I would not recommend it to friends.

It is a nice hotel. We had a slight problem with the additional charges for family members. My wife and I had intended to pay for all room charges and at check in our guests were asked to give a credit card for additional charges. The stay was very good on the whole.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Patrick Henry Inn.
I might recommend it to friends.
