35 year old male with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

I bought the vacation deal at a Bass Pro Shop and I can honestly say that my stay at this hotel ranks up there with some of my worst stays. Shortly after we checked into our rooms I found a bag filled with brown dirty, stinking underwear behind the refrigerator. I brought it to the attention of the Assistant Manager and all he said was sorry. Thanks! That is all the desk clerks could say also. I asked the Assistant Manager and the desk clerk to have all our linen changed in our room and he and the desk clerk assured me it would be done. When we returned to our room nothing had been changed and all I got once again is “I’m sorry” again go figure. The ground of the hotel was always dirty and I witnessed the same piece of trash in the exact same place in the middle of the floor for 2 and half days. The bathroom is like being in a coffin and there is no ventilation. The walls were all cracked and the furniture was all scratched. I was afraid to walk around in the room without slippers on. Needless to say if I go back to Williamsburg this will be the last place I stay. If Bluegreen’s resorts are like their hotels I would never buy time share from them. The house keeping of this hotel was awful. Several of the desk clerks were nice but overall the costumer service stinks. If you buy the vacation from a Bass Pro and want to go to Williamsburg and Bluegreen books you at this hotel, well GOOD LUCK and I warned you.

35 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The room was clean and well maintained (no cobwebs , leaks or physical damage) All of the items in the room worked and were present. We stayed for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the free breakfasts. Each day we were served a different hot item along with the continental type items. We asked for additional towels and a cot and both were at our room within 15 minutes. The pool is outdoor in a U-shaped area out of the wind, the kids spent many hours in it. The hotel is 35 years old and well maintained. People who are looking to stay at a Hilton should stay at a Hilton. I will stay here again. Its 3 blocks from Colonial Williamsburg, About 3 miles from Busch Gardens and Water Country USA and 1 mile from the Colonial Parkway to Jamestown and Yorktown. Its location is awesome.

We stayed in this resort shortly after it first opened. The rooms are all exceptional! The studio is equipped with a master suite, a study, a living/dining/kitchen combo room. It has 2 bathrooms. The 2 Bedroom is equipped with a master suite, a second bedroom, a living/dining/kitchen combo room. It has 2 bathrooms. Both units slept 6 comfortably. All of the luxuries of home are included. Flat screen TV in each room. Full master bathroom. Laundry facility on each floor for guest use. All of the items in the room worked and were present. We asked for additional towels which were at our room within 15 minutes. The current pool is outdoor in a U-shaped area out of the wind, the kids spent many hours in it. I will stay here again. 41 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I was fooled by the AAA three diamond label and the fact that it is a Bluegreen "resort" property. I would call it a last resort. It was dirty--candy and junk under the beds, makeup on the counter tops that wasn't wiped up from the previous guest. They switched our room, but the second room had a white, powdery substance splashed on the bathroom door that was not cleaned up, and under the beds was just nasty, like a vacuum never went there. Their trick is to overdo with furniture polish to make it smell clean.

The walls were scuffed and covered with black marks--like the WWF had held a tag team there. A bucket of paint would go a long way in this joint.

The "deluxe continental breakfast" was in a basement room that had once been a conference room, but it was brown, dirty, and completely decrepit. There were so many flies, I lost my appetite.

This place was probably nice back in the 1970's, but it is not now. Bluegreen should either renovate the joint, or tear it down altogether. I couldn't find a room anywhere else, and we had driven a long way, so we were stuck, but I hope that doesn't happen to anyone else. It was a miserable stay.

40 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

My family and I stayed at the Patrick Henry Inn from 07/21/2008 to 07/23/2008. We only paid $59 as the stay was part of a timeshare presentation offered by Bluegreen Resorts who owns the hotel. Now, I'm not hard to please, I didn't expect much for the price we paid. However, the hotel needs to be either torn down or completely renovated. The lobby looks drab as well as the hallways. Our room was expectantly dusty and outdated. The beds were springy and the boxsprings had large brown stains on the side. The continental breakfast was served in a basement room which used to be a bar/club. The room was so dusty and dark, I lost my appetite. The pool was O.K., but, it was also in dire need of renovation. But, the straw that broke the camel's back was the large cockroach my husband killed the first night we were there. Needless to say, we had to sleep with the lights on and shake out our luggage before we left. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at this time.
