My business requires me to travel to northern Indiana from time to time, and I usually just stay at one of the chain hotels. At the recommendation of a friend I decided to forego the traditional route and try a bed & breakfast. I stayed at the Patchwork Quilt Country Inn. What a great decision.
The Inn is conveniently located, just off the Indiana Toll Road which made it every bit as convenient as the chains. The check in process was quick and easy. No lines. I was greeted by the owner who made sure I had everything I needed. I was pleasantly surprised to find high speed Internet access was available, so I could take care of my business before heading to dinner.
The restaurant was busy, but not crowded. The service was outstanding and the food was terrific. After dinner I was able to take a relaxing walk around the property, before retiring for the night. When I got back to my room, I found home made cookies on my night stand waiting for me. Nice touch.
The next morning I woke up to a friendly restaurant staff. They knew I had a busy morning ahead of me, so she made sure everything was ready for me to check out as soon as I finished my breakfast.
I never realized that this cozy bed & breakfast could also be an ideal destination for business travel as well. I'll definitely be back.
