Location.Lack of cleanliness. Location was good for our purposes but cleanliness was definite. Staff was pleasant but hotel seemed somehow dingy, dark and on the seedy side.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! – Posted Apr 02, 2008

Horrible
26 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

The food from the restaurant was really bad the kids wouldn't even eat the chicken strips. The beds were old and uncomfortable and the remote for the tv's didn't even work. There were cigarette burns all over the carpet and the rooms smelled really bad. The pool was nice but you had to walk all the way around the hotel to get it or go outside. The hot tub was in a completely separate location on the other side of the hotel. We had to switch rooms because the water in the shower would go from really hot to really cold and wouldn't stay at the temp you set it at. They said that they would have to rip out all the plumbing to fix it. After we moved to our new room they rented the room to someone else the next day. We had problems with our heater too but they fixed that right away. The staff were really nice and willing to help but it did take maintainence over 3 hours to get to our room to look at the shower. I would not stay here again and the next time I am there I will stay at the Holiday Inn up the street.

The 1960 -1970 decor in the rooms and throughout is sad considering the staff is great. They jump to your requests! I have been there for business and pleasure and have always enjoyed my stay. I do wish they would move in to the present day needs of a hotel visitor. Room service at all hours, modern decor, especially the beds! Lighter and brighter hallways maps to find your way through the maze. The restaurant/cafe has a good buffet but could update there food too the newly updated layout is great but now please up date the food choices!!!

59 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The hotel has clean, comfortable rooms, a convenient restaurant, a friendly staff and it is easy to get anywhere you need to go in town from there. It is a nice place to stay and reasonably priced.

I am very likely to return to the Parkway Plaza Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Mediocre

pros: CLOSE to the interstateThis place was bad. It bills itself as having a a conference center. Yeah, right. The courtyard in the center of the hotel was reminiscent of a prison yard in the movies.
